My Work

For about 8 years I worked as a journalist for La Raza del Noroeste and The Everett Herald where I covered different topics and interviewed people from diverse backgrounds. OI mostly focused on immigration: the lives of immigrants, their hardships and their similitudes with mainstream America. My time at the Spanish newspaper where my most fulfilling because I knew I was making a difference.

I have worked in other jobs not in media. They have been different but my aim to make a positive impact has been the same.

I am always learning new stuff. Currently, I am working on getting a certification on Social Media management and Bilingual Court Interpreting.

Faith to Go Forward

David Ricci lost his leg on a volunteering trip to India. Surviving that feat only led him to fight for major depression. His Catholic faith helped him recover. This was a story I made for The Everett Herald. .

Alone among us

Mental health affects immigrants more than that other population. Social stigma, cultural differences, and the fear of being deported by a minor infraction are factors that make them a more at-risk group. One of a series of stories examining this issue.
